If you've recently become homeless, or there is a risk of that happening, "don't give up hope, you are not alone", it's important to get the right advice as soon as possible. The first thing you will need to do is to get in touch with your local council as soon as possible, they are there to help!
Local councils have a legal duty to help certain people if they ask a council for help when they are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
The help may be with providing housing or with advice and assistance to help resolve a housing problem.
